Take Psychology 322: Myth, Dream, and Symbol in Ireland! Explore the inner world of the unconscious, while staying in the picturesque Irish Countryside. The course will draw from contemporary dream research, Jungian dreamwork, and employ methods of dream incubation (asking specific questions of our dreams) to work with the creative and integrative potential of the dreaming mind. We will study the role of myth and storytelling in traditional societies, with a specific emphasis on Irish myth. We will explore the connection of myth, culture, tradition, and the land through visits to some of the most significant sacred sites of Irish culture, such as Newgrange (part of the Bru Na Boinne UNESCO World Heritage Sites), the Hill of Tara, and Loughcrew Cairns. Please note that students who have already taken PSY 322 at SSU are not eligible for this program. Information Meeting on Tuesday, February 6 at 12PM in International Hall 107.
